Mumbai: A couple of days before, newly appointed Mumbai Indians skipper Harbhajan Singh was praised by former India skipper Sourav Ganguly after he led his side to victory against the mighty Chennai Super Kings in the IPL opener. Now when Dada led Pune Warriors to victory on Friday defending a low total against Mumbai, Harbhajan made sure to point out that the left-handed batsman remained India’s best skipper till date. In his first match of IPL-5, Ganguly did not have a great day with the bat but his decision to open the bowling with a spinner proved to be a master stroke as left-handed Murali Kartik scalped the explosive Richard Levi in the first over. Ganguly used his bowlers to perfection and in spite of a paltry total, Pune Warriors upset Mumbai Indians which possesses a star-studded batting line-up. Bhajji lauded Ganguly’s captaincy and his rare ability to identify talent and back them. "Dada (Sourav) was a special captain for India and he showed once again today why he`s still the best captain ever. There are not many match-winners in his side, but his ability to identify talent, give responsibility to players and sense their usefulness is amazing," said Harbhajan. Ganguly as a captain is credited to have backed several players like Sehwag, Zaheer, Harbhajan, and Yuvraj in spite of their rough patches. Thus Harbhajan’s statement is something which has for sure come out straight from his heart!
