Chitins` unbeaten ton leads Mumbai to easy win

Vadodara: Siddharth Chitnis struck an unbeaten century to guide Mumbai to a comfortable four-wicket win over Maharashtra in the West Zone inter-state Vijay Hazare one-day tournament, at the Motibaug Cricket Ground here on Monday.

Chitins`s knock of 100 included 10 sixes and three fours and came off just 70 deliveries. Rohit Sharma was the next best scorer for the winners with 40.

Chasing Maharashtra`s 219, Mumbai overhauled the target in 41.3 overs for the loss of six wickets.

Kedar Jadhav (53) and Rohit Motwani (30) were the leading scorers for Maharashtra.
