Mumbai: Just hours after Salman Khan declared that he would hop on the Mumbai local train to experience the life of the ‘aam junta’, his fans and the media rushed to the Bandra station to catch a glimpse of their star. But all their efforts proved futile as they were met with great disappointment when the star failed to show up. However, before you make judgements let us inform you that the actor had good reasons to ditch his date with his fans. According to the latest Bollywood news, Salman’s maternal grandmother had been keeping unwell for quite some time now. On Tuesday she was gravely ill and the star had to rush to be by her side. By the end of the day, she passed away. And though this is a reason enough, the actor also decided that boarding a local train was not a risk worth taking as he was concerned that some of his fans or the media could get seriously injured in the chaos. Speaking to reporters Salman said, “The fans go crazy when they see their favourite stars and the media guys obviously are so engrossed in running after the star that they forget everything else. This is not like a person falling down from a cycle... this is a train journey and any mishap here would have been serious.” “The situation would have been chaotic and it would have been very hard for anyone to control it. We got a call from the stationmaster updating us about the situation at the Bandra station and the police officials were also a little skeptical about the train journey. So we thought it was best to cancel the plan”, explained the star. Well, looks like Salman will have to disguise to get a train ride.
