Bangalore: Light rain today hit the area in and around the Chinnaswamy stadium ahead of Tuesday’s IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Pune Warriors here.
Some parts of the city, including the area surrounding the stadium, experienced light showers for two-and-a-half hours, from 5.30 pm to 8 pm today.
But, before the rains came over the stadium, RCB got enough time for net practice.
The weathermen predicted moderate to high rains at some isolated areas of the city in next two days.
On April 19, 2011, the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of incessant rains. The game between RCB and CSK was also washed out on April 25 last year.
