Azhar Mahmood`s visa issues have finally come to an end as the former Pakistan all-rounder is now eligible to play for Kings XI Punjab in all the cities hosting matches of the fifth edition of Indian Premier League.

New Delhi: Azhar Mahmood`s visa issues have finally come to an end as the former Pakistan all-rounder is now eligible to play for Kings XI Punjab in all the cities hosting matches of the fifth edition of Indian Premier League.
The Pakistani-turned-Briton all-rounder had initially got only city-specific visa - that is, only for the port of entry Delhi and his final destination Chandigarh on his Pakistani passport.
As per the law, the Pakistani citizens get visa for specific cities in India. He applied for visa on his Pakistani passport despite holding a British passport, as under the rules, he had to apply for visa on his first passport. Mahmood confirmed the news in a tweet this afternoon. "To answer 2your questions yes I have a visa for all cities and am able to play anywhere in india 4the IPL. Hope that`s clarified things," he tweeted. Confirming the news, a Kings XI Punjab team source said that Mahmood`s visa issue has been resolved and he can now travel with the Punjab team to the other cities during the tournament. Punjab`s next two matches are at home, against Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was bought by Kings XI at the players` auction in February for USD 200,000. PTI
