Sachin Tendulkar, for whom winning the World Cup was a childhood dream, can`t believe that the 12 months passed away since Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Indian team lifted the coveted trophy for the second time, breaking a 28-year-long wait. "Time flies but memories last forever. What a day it was!!! 02-04-2011," Tendulkar tweeted. After India beat Sri Lanka in the World Cup final April 2, 2011 at Mumbai`s Wankhede Stadium, the team dedicated the win to Tendulkar. For the first time the world witnessed the softer side of the batting maestro, who failed to control his tears while taking the victory lap with his children. Indian opening Virender Sehwag also thanked wished his teammates and support staff and also thanked the fans. "Can`t believe it’s been a year since we were crowned the World Champs! Everyone contributed to the dream spcly the supporting fans! Thank you," he tweeted. "A big hug to each and every team member including the support staff.
