And what made this embarrassing moment even more awkward for his throbbing male pride was the fact that fans rushed past him to approach his lady-love Deepika Padukone for autographs. Wonder what was the cause of this sudden unfortunate anonymity? Well, it’s all owing to his latest bearded avatar for his upcoming film ‘Rocket Singh’ that has made him unrecognizable. Buzz has it that the lovebirds Ranbir and Deepika were enjoying a romantic dinner when the incident occurred. Recognizing Dips, fans went into frenzy and rushed in her direction to get autographs. While Ranbir was nervous about the sudden surge of fans in their direction he was left feeling silly when fans ignored him and focused on his lady. Sidelined, the actor was reportedly left feeling miffed by the incident. Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, “Ranbir and Deepika were at Taj Land’s End for a cosy dinner. People noticed Deepika immediately and gathered around her for autographs and also clicked pictures with her. Ranbir went unnoticed. No one seemed to have recognised the star while they hounded Deepika, though Ranbir is equally popular and loved. It was quite amusing.”
