Sydney Sixers sign explosive Umar Akmal for BBL

Islamabad: Sydney Sixers who recently became the second team after New South Wales to win the Champions League, on Tuesday signed Pakistan`s explosive middle order batsman Umar Akmal for the BBL this season. Akmal will be available for just three matches for the Sydney Sixers as he is expected to join Pakistan`s short tour to India. The talented right-hander expressed joy after being selected for the BBL as his teammate Afridi already plays for the Sydney Thunder in the same tournament. Sydney Sixers have also signed New South Wales` opening batsman Daniel Hughes for BBL.
