Three arrested in Sirsa for betting on Indo-Pak ODI

Haryana Police has arrested three persons from Sirsa for allegedly indulging in betting during the high-voltage Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan in Mirpur.

Chandigarh: Haryana Police has arrested three persons from Sirsa for allegedly indulging in betting during the high-voltage Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan in Mirpur. The police seized Rs 12,000, a television set, five mobile phones and a diary from their possession.
A case has been registered against them at a police station in Sirsa, a spokesman of the State Police Department said on Monday. He said that Dalbir Singh, in-charge of Kirtinagar police station, Sirsa, got secret information that bets were being placed at Grewal Basti near Begu Road. Taking immediate action, the police raided the spot and arrested the accused. The arrested persons have been identified as Sumer, a resident of Kirdhan, Fatehabad, Sudhir Kumar, a resident of Bhattu Kalan and Anil Kumar from Nathusari Kalan, Sirsa. PTI
