Paris Hilton to testify in court for breach of contract

London, July 10: Socialite heiress Paris Hilton will take the stand in a Miami, Florida court Friday to testify against allegations that she failed to adequately promote her 2006 flop `Pledge This!`

The occasional actress-singer is being sued for breach of contract by bosses at Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc., who claim she neglected to honour promotion and publicity agreements for the film, insisting she owes investors a massive $8.3 million, reports contactmusic.com. The movie executives claim Hilton was paid $1 million for her acting services and for "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the film, which featured the her as the president of an exclusive sorority. A judge rejected a motion by Hilton`s legal team to dismiss the lawsuit in May and the trial began Thursday. IANS
