Mumbai, May 08: In a industry where moving out of ones parents pad is considered a sign of maturity, which every young bee from Kareena to Deepika is busy bragging about, it has taken Salman Khan decades to finally bid adieu to his family home. Over 40, the angry Khan, who has been living under the protective shield of his parents for as long as one can remember, seems to have grown old enough to be on his own. For years fans hurdled outside the actor’s famous Bandra residence, eagerly awaiting the one chance glance of their superstar. But with the actor now shifting base, the famous Bandra street is bound to be deserted. Buzz has that Sallu has splurged a stupendous Rs 20 crore for a lavish penthouse in Aquamarine building at Carter Road. According to reliable sources the flat belonged to the president of Mumbai Regional Congress Committee, Kripa Shankar Singh’s son, Sanjay. He had bought the flat for investment purpose. And now Salman has bought the flat from Sanjay. Confirming the news a daily quoted a source as saying, “The beauty of Salman’s penthouse is the sea view, visible from his terrace. Also, the penthouse guarantees absolute privacy. Each floor has a spacious hall, kitchen and four more rooms”. What’s more is that an interior designer team is already working on the flat in full swing. And it’s not that Salman is the lone attraction in the building. Keeping him company would be music director Anu Malik, who too has also bought flats in the same building.
