Allow me to join Barcelona, Fabregas tells Wenger

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will be pleading with his boss Arsene Wenger to allow him to rejoin Barcelona.

London: Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas will be pleading with his boss Arsene Wenger to allow him to rejoin Barcelona.
Fabregas, who skipped Arsenal`s tour of Malaysia and China due to an injury, will meet Wenger to get the nod for his proposed 35 million pounds transfer to the European champions. A leading daily reported that 24-year-old Fabregas is grateful to Wenger for turning him into one of the world`s best players and does not want to ruin their relationship by handing in a written request. The mid-fielder, who began his career at the Nou Camp, is hoping to appeal to Wenger`s better nature by telling him he is desperate to return home."He is not back in full training, he is back running on the pitch and the next step is to be back in full training. He is in our plans. The problem we face is speculation from everywhere but my target is the same - to keep players and my desire to fight for that is the same," Wenger was quoted as saying by the daily. Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis also said that the club will battle to retain Fabregas. "We don`t conduct our business in public. I don`t intend to put my voice into the mix. Arsene has been very clear and explicit on all of those subjects. I`ll leave the voice of Arsenal to be his," he said. IANS
