London: Columbian striker Jackson Martinez, who plays in Portuguese club Porto, has revealed that he grew up supporting Arsenal and says he would love to join his boyhood club this month.
Martinez is valued at around 30 million pounds and is expected to depart Porto in the next two transfer windows.
According to Metro.co.uk, with Arsene Wenger making no secret of his desire to sign another striker, the Colombian has issued a firm come and get me plea to the Arsenal boss, saying that he cheered for Arsenal as a boy and added that he loves the style of play employed by the Premier League side.
Martinez further said that the club is flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes and would be suitable for a player like him, adding that if he gets a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal, he would not hesitate to accept it.
