London: Manchester City needs tons of work to start firing on all cylinders again, feels its coach-cum-manager Roberto Mancini.
Despite netting 11 goals in four games so far, the City boss complained his side is not scoring enough. He also rapped the defence who have failed to keep a clean sheet this season.
“We played well in the first half but have one problem at the moment, when we have a chance to score, we don’t score,” The Sun quoted Mancini, as saying. “We had this problem in our first game. We had a problem against Liverpool. It is a problem and when you have a chance to score, you should score. In the second half we didn’t play well but, in the end, its important we got three points,” said Mancini.
Despite seven points from the first three games and another piece of silverware with the Community Shield, there was a warning to the players from their Italian boss after the match. “I said it’s important we can’t concede a goal every game and this is one of our problems, and when we get a chance, we should score,” Mancini said.
