London: Premier League giants Manchester United are eyeing to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Goetze after failing to secure a deal with Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder.
Goetze is rated the best young talent in the Bundesliga after helping Borussia land the title last season. He has also attracted the interest of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Goetze is contracted at Dortmund until 2014 and is valued at 20 million pounds. But, United are expected to offer a bigger deal to bring Goetze to Old Trafford, a daily reports.
Goetze has also indicated that he might accept United’s offer.
“Who would not dream of playing with a club like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United,” Goetze said.
I retired three years ago but I am still training with Arsenal because I have a good relation with the club and Arsene Wenger. So it's been easy to come out of retirement.
