UK bookmaker odds suggest Messi will finish career at Barcelona

London: UK bookmakers are putting the proposition of Lionel Messi retiring at Spanish club Barcelona as the favourite one in an exciting bet, with Manchester City getting to sign the Argentine star a distant possibility.

According to Metro.co.uk, Ladbrokes have opened a market on which club will be the multiple Ballon d`Or winner`s next destination and offer 5/1 if he signs for City. It is 10/1 Messi moves to Paris St-Germain, 20/1 he switches to Manchester United or Chelsea and a hugely 33/1 he joins Real Madrid, the report said. It is 3/1 Messi joins Newell`s Old Boys but the best bet is that he retires at Barca, which leads the market at evens, the report added.
