Russia stun Brazil to win men`s gold

Russia shocked Brazil by coming back from two sets down to win the Olympic gold in the men`s volleyball event here Sunday. The result gave Russia their first volleyball gold and stopped Brazil from achieving the Olympics` first volleyball double gold since the Moscow Games of 1980 after the Brazilian women beat the United States in Saturday`s final.

Olympics 2012 boxing: Britain`s Joshua wins super heavyweight gold

Anthony Joshua of Britain won a thrilling super heavyweight (+91kg) final against Italy`s defending champion Roberto Cammarelle to take Olympic gold here at the ExCel Arena Sunday. Joshua was awarded the win on count back after recovering a three-point deficit while going into the last round for an 18-18 final score.

Ram Singh finishes 78th in men`s marathon

Armyman Ram Singh Yadav finished 78th with a time of 2:30.06 hours in the Olympic men`s marathon here at The Mall Sunday, marking the end of India`s athletics campaign at the London Games. CLICK HERE FOR COMPLETE STORY».

Sushil Kumar loses in final

It was a heartbreak for the Indian fans and the veteran wrestler, but he has for sure ended India's Olympic campaign on a high note.

Second Period: Sushil was trailing 0-3 in the second round after which he reduced the lead to 1-3. But Tatsuhiro adopted some very good defensive technique as he bagged the gold medal.

First Period: Sushil looking a bit tired. He loses the first round 0-1.

Sushil Kumar has already made history by becoming the first Indian athlete to win back-to-back medals for India at the London Olympics. But for sure the Indian fans would want him to win a gold medal!

Third and final period: What a dramatic final round! Sushil Kumar has made the country proud with his breathtaking effort!

Tanatarov took the lead 3-0 and then Sushil played like a true champion and won the bout 6-3.

Second period: Sushil lagging behind 3-0 and he has lost this period. So again, the outcome of this bout depends on the third period.

First period: Sushil cruising ahead 3-0 and he has won the first period.

India’s Ram Singh Yadav is also in action today. He is competing in men’s marathon and is currently on 81st position.

The Indian wrestler is looking to create history by winning back-to-back medals for India at the London Olympics. He will also become the first Indian athlete to have two individual Olympics medals.

Sushil advances into semis

Indian wrestler kept the Indian hopes alive as he won the quarter-final match.

He will now lock horns with Akzhurek Tanatarov of Kazakhstan.

Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar kicked off his campaign in style as he defeated Beijing gold medallist Ramazan Sahin (3-1) to move to the quarterfinals of the London Olympics 2012 men`s 66kg freestyle category.
