London: Sushil Kumar will next face Ikhtiyor Navruzov of Uzbekistan in quarterfinals. The 23-year-old Uzbek had defeated Otar Tushishvili (3-1) in the pre-quarters.

Sushil vs Ramazan: As it happened

India's Sushil Kumar defeated Beijing gold medallist Ramazan Sahin (3-1) to move to the quarterfinals of the London Olympics 2012 (men's 66kg freestyle category).

Period 3: Sushil has earned a point. And he maintains it to clinch the bout as well.

The 29-year-old equalled KD Jadhav’s feat when at the 2008 Beijing Games he defeated Leonid Spiridonov of Kazakhstan in the repechage round to claim the bronze medal in men’s 66kg freestyle category.

He would be expected to better his own show at the Summer Games and fetch India its first Gold medal at the ongoing Games.
