McLaren’s Hamilton admits champion Vettel could dominate rest of season

London: McLaren’s ace driver Lewis Hamilton has warned other Formula One drivers Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel’s ‘ridiculous’ speed advantage could help him dominate the rest of the season.
Hamilton was referring to the German’s brilliant last round in Valencia.
Vettel had such a staggering advantage in the European Grand Prix he was up to two seconds a lap faster than the chasing field in Valencia, and was especially quick on fresh tyres. The double champion would have taken his second victory of the season at a canter and be leading the driver``s championship had his car not broken down under the safety car in the baking heat. “Be careful, because Vettel could dominate for the rest of the year. The pace he had at the last race was ridiculous - he made a 20 second lead in something like 10 laps,” a newspaper quoted Hamilton, as saying. “It is not a worry for me because it is what it is. It is going to be Red Bull, Ferrari and us but maybe some other people at Silverstone,” he said. “I``d love to win the race but I have no idea how the cars and tyres will behave. I love winning the British Grand Prix and getting that trophy, it`s the best trophy I have ever seen,” he added. ANI
