New Delhi: Olympic Gold Quest, an initiative to support talented Indian sportspersons, has signed up youth world champion female boxer Sarjubala Devi (48kg).
"OGQ is very proud to announce the signing of young boxer Sarjubala Devi. The 18-year-old boxer, who hails from Manipur, is the latest young sensation in the boxing circuit in India," OGQ said in a statement.
With 19 gold medals to her credit since she started out in 2005, Sarjubala is a promising name in the Indian boxing circuit.
She has won four golds in international boxing, including the 2011 Youth World Women Boxing Championship in Turkey.
Add to that, she has won eight golds at the national level and seven at the state level.
