London, May 31: The Rolling Stone legend Ronnie Wood is reportedly opening a gallery to showcase nude paintings of his young lover Ekaterina Ivanova. The 61-year-old rockstar-painter has already started moving furniture and pictures from his home in Hampstead, north London, to a shop in the middle of Hoxton, an East End area for the same, a website reported.
Some paintings covered in thick material were also seen being moved, fuelling reports that they were the intimate portraits of his 20-year-old girlfriend. "Ronnie is creating a gallery and had some items, like a desk and a sofa, taken from his home to be used in the space. He also had some paintings moved. I don`t know if there are any of Ekaterina," Wood`s spokeperson said. The reports stated that Wood, who is a trained artist, started a portfolio of nude paintings of Ivanova while they were holidaying in Ireland last summer, a claim denied by the former cocktail waitress. Ivanova`s mother Irina had earlier expressed concern about her daughter modelling nude. Wood whose works usually sell from 600 - 3,000 pounds, exhibited a nude painting in Dublin`s Gallery Number One last year. The portrait was said to be of Ivanova, whom friends have described as his muse. "I heard he isn`t going to open the gallery publicly, it would just be for private views. He wanted to keep it quiet so that his guests can enjoy the works without any paparazzi presence," Wood`s new neighbour said. Bureau Report
