A police constable was on Thursday injured when sand mafia attacked a mining inspection team after it seized tractor-trolleys allegedly carrying sand without valid documents near a village in the district.
The Supreme Court has granted a three-month extension to the Odisha government to clear the lease renewal applications of 18 mines which were asked to halt operations following a court order, an official said on Saturday.
