Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday expressed dismay over the death of over 10 people in different road accidents in East Godavari, Krishna, Srikakulam and other districts in the state.
Road accidents contribute "highly" to the death rate in the country and the society needs to be given knowledge on various aspects in case of an emergency, experts speaking at a symposium on health and development at the 102nd Indian Science Congress said here Monday.
Soon, no one will have to face pressure or hassle for helping road accident victims. All thanks to the Supreme Court, which on Wednesday passed an order, directing the central government to pass an order within three months, which would ensure protection for good samaritans helping accident victims.
A Delhi court has acquitted a bus driver of the charges of rash and negligent driving leading to a death of an auto driver, saying that driving at a high speed does not amount to rash or negligent driving.
