The saint-politician had on Tuesday accepted the proposal to build a Ramayana Museum in Ayodhya.
Union Culture and Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma had told reporters that CM Yogi Adityanath had assured him that land for the proposed Ramayana museum will be provided in a week's time.
The Supreme Court earlier in the day asked all parties concerned to sit together to arrive at a consensus on Ayodhya issue, which has been dragging for decades.
The Chief Justice of India (CJI) also said he is willing to arbitrate and sit across the mediations although not in the capacity of the CJI but as a private individual for resolution of the dispute.
A bench headed by Chief Justice J S Khehar said such religious issues could be solved through negotiations and offered to mediate in order to arrive at an amicable settlement to the dispute.
The Allahabad High Court had in its verdict on September 30, 2010 directed a three-way division of the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya.
The verdict was challenged in the apex court.
