Armed miscreants throw challenge to Yogi Adityanath govt, murder cash van guard in Allahabad before fleeing

Allahabad: While the Yogi Adityanath government has taken several steps at improving the law and order situation across the state, a shocking incident of loot and murder has thrown a big challenge to the BJP dispensation here.

According to reports, a cash van guard shot dead by some bike-borne miscreants who came to loot cash in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad district on Thursday.

One of the assailants, who fired at the guard, was wearing a helmet. 

The miscreants, who were reportedly carrying pistols, immediately fled from the scene after failing to loot the cash kept in the van.

The van had come to deposit cash at the SBI Bank branch in Pariyawan in Allahabad district.

The shocking incident triggered panic among the locals who ran helter-skelter to save themselves.

The shocking incident was recorded on CCTV camera and is now being examined by the UP Police for potential leads in the case.

A hunt has been launched to arrest the miscreants. 

Meanwhile, the guard, who was identified as Vinay Chandra Shukla, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to injuries.
