Lucknow: It seems that Samajwadi Party leaders have not yet learned any lessons from their party's humiliating defeat in the recently concluded assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and they continue misbehave with people in their arrogance whenever resisted.

In one such instance, SP leader Azam Khan was on Thursday caught on camera openly threatening the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Rampur when he was not allowed to enter the local poll panel office in the Mandi Parishad to collect his election victory certificate.

Irked with this, Khan accompanied by his supporters, reportedly argued with the SDM, who is also the Returning Officer, and threatened him of transfer, claiming that he is still the elected 'neta' of the area.

"I can collect the certificate later but is this why I got you transferred here?" Azam Khan told the official after he had to walk through a dirt-filled road.

Khan also slammed the officials for bad condition of roads in his area, why insisting that he was still the Urban Development Minister till a new government formally takes charge in the state.

The entire incident was caught on camera and quickly became viral on the social media platforms.

Several politicians, including Amar Singh, have criticised Khan for misbehaving with the high-ranking government officer.

BJP leader Vijay Bahadur Pathak said, 'the SP leaders its appears have not realised that they are no longer in power”.

In a damage control exercise, SP spokesperson Deepak Mishra was quoted as saying by News18.com that Khan should not have misbehaved with the official.

“The SP is in this state of affairs because of leaders like Azam Khan,” Mishra said.

Interestingly, the visuals of Khan threatening the officer openly has evoked sharp reactions from users on Twitter, who slammed Akhilesh Yadav's party and its leaders for not learning any lessons from their electoral defeat and 'arrogance'.
