Kanpur: An assistant professor of medicine at GSVM Medical College here was today found dead in mysterious circumstances.
Police said 42-year-old Asharfi Tripathi jumped off the sixth floor of Shyaam Apartments in Kalyanpur area.
Her husband told police that he could not find her in their bed when he woke up this morning. Later, he found her body on the ground floor.
DSP, Kalyanpur, Sanjeev Dikshit said it is not clear yet if it is a murder or suicide.
Things will be more clear once we receive the postmortem report, he said.
