CALIFORNIA: Police responded on Friday morning to reports of a possible shooting at a southern California high school, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

A spokesman for the department, Deputy Charles Moore, said police received multiple reports of an armed man on campus at Highland High School in Palmdale, California, about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. He said police have not yet confirmed whether the reports were true or whether any shots were fired.
