Cold wave conditions persisted in
parts of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday with some areas witnessing heavy

Large parts of Uttar Pradesh continued to reel under cold wave conditions with thick fog
throwing normal life out of gear and claiming six lives.
It was another frosty day in North
India on Saturday which continued to battle bitter cold waves with
the chill claiming six more lives in UP, taking the toll to 68
this season in the state.
Eleven more people died in Uttar
Pradesh as the intense cold wave sweeping north India
maintained its firm grip over the region Thursday with Kargil town in Jammu and Kashmir freezing at minus 16.4 degrees Celsius.
Cold wave conditions in UP today
claimed 12 more lives, taking the toll to 47 this season, with
mercury dipping sharply at a number of places in the state.
