The Delhi HC on Thursday issued a notice to the CBI and sought its reply on the Muzaffarpur shelter home case convict’s appeal against his life imprisonment
Kumar, a member of the Child Welfare Committee, had challenged his life imprisonment in the sexual assault case of several girls in a shelter home in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district.
The court listed it for hearing on October 1.
Delhi High Court on Wednesday (July 22) issued notice to CBI in an appeal filed by Brajesh Thakur challenging his conviction in Muzaffarpur shelter home case.
Appearing for the CBI, Attorney General KK Venugopal told the court that "No girl was killed in Muzaffarpur shelter home and skeletons found were not of inmate minors."
