Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe rudely turned away from gym

London: Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe, who is currently filming ‘Les Miserables’ at Pinewood Studio, was rudely turned away from a gym, owned by billionaire Richard Branson.

The 47-year-old actor contacted the Royal Bershire Health and Racquets Club in Bracknell who told him to drop by and check out their facilities in person. But when he arrived at Virgin Active gym, he was turned down because he is not a member, Daily Mirror reported. "Hoity toity staff with chav accents. What`s with that? Advice to virgin active UK and Richard Branson have fit and smart folk rep your brand (sic)," an angry Crowe posted on Twitter later. The PR team of the gym extended their apology for how he was treated. He stated that the PR email was nice but that he will just settle for the other gyms where the regular guys work out. PTI
