Mumbai: Weeks after Madhur Bhandarkar announced his ambitious project ‘Heroine’ with Aishwarya Rai in the lead, came the news of Aishwarya being pregnant. While there have been speculation about Ash’s pregnancy for a while, the actress had been constantly denying it, until Papa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan disclosed the good news two days back.
People had raised eyebrows about Ash`s visible weight gain but it was stated that she had been asked to gain weight by the filmmakers of `Heroine` as the role demanded it.
Meanwhile the shooting of the film ‘Heroine’ has already begun. So will the shooting be stalled, now that Ash is pregnant? Insiders have stated that the actress has insisted on completing the shooting of the film before she goes on a maternity leave. At present, the actress is in a start-to-finish schedule for the film.
Madhur has planned to wrap up the film as quickly as possible so that Ash can get the much needed break and can enjoy some quality time with her family.
Amidst all this, the film`s promotions may get affected. But director Madhur Bhandarkar and his team are not worried.
Speaking to a daily, a source revealed, "Madhur is not worried about `Heroine`s` promotions or how Ash`s pregnancy will affect the film`s success. We shouldn`t forget that Ash is a popular and successful actress and her getting married didn`t affect her fan following. She enjoys a loyal fan following and it will not be affected by her becoming a mom."
The source also revealed that the producers are keen on releasing the film in November this year and all the promotional activities will be planned according to Ash’s convenience.
