New York: Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Cy Waits is expected to be charged with three criminal counts following the couple`s drug-related arrest in Las Vegas last August.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Waits faces felony charges for allegedly being under the influence of marijuana, and two misdemeanour charges for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana, reports the New York Daily News.
The police arrested Hitlon and Waits on August 27 and found a ‘roach’ – a white piece of rolled paper w/ green leafy sub inside’ – in his car.
Laboratory results showed the 35-year-old was high on marijuana at the time of the arrest.
If convicted, Waits could be sentenced to jail and/or probation. However, it is unknown whether he will be offered a plea deal like Hilton.
In September, the 29-year-old heiress pleaded guilty to two misdemeanour charges in exchange for a year of probation, a 2,000-dollars fine and a mandate to complete 200 hours of community service as well as a year a drug abuse program.
