New Delhi: A 48-year-old woman named Liu Ying from China with tumours around her face has received immense support from people after live-streaming about her condition on social media.

According to a report in Daily Mail, Liu Ying has been nicknamed 'elephant face' as she suffers from a rare disease called neurofibromatosis, where tumour grows along the nerves.

She was diagnosed with the rare disease when she was 9-years-old and had suffered loss of sight in her right eye and facial deformity.

As per reports, she underwent surgery when she was 24 to attempt to remove the tumours however it failed. She even attempted to commit suicide after her surgery failed. Troubled by her condition, she decided to live stream her condition and ask people to help her crowd fund the treatment.

The 48-year-old has difficulties digesting and talking because of the tumours on her cheeks and chin.

In 2016, Liu live-streamed and has been receiving heart-warming support as people understand her and write positively and even donate money for her treatment.

She added that through live-streaming she can allow more people to know more about the disease.

Though there are haters online, but she has learned to ignore them and hope to seek medical help to lead a better life.
