Mumbai and its surrounding areas have received very heavy rainfall overnight, and this has led to waterlogging in some parts of the megapolis on Monday morning. By some estimates, the city received almost 200 mm of rain. However, forecasters say Monday could see the city get more, heavier rain.

The roads are jammed, trains are struggling to keep time, and the arrivals or departures of at least 35 flights have been delayed.

Two people were killed and five injured after a tree fell on them near Metro Cinema on Sunday night.
