Chhattisgarh attack: Naxals urged to free Congress leader

Senior Congress leader Nand Kumar Patel has been abducted by Maoists in Chhattisgarh`s Jagdalpur district.

Raipur: Umesh Patel, one of the sons of senior Congress leader Nand Kumar Patel who was abducted by Maoists in Chhattisgarh`s Jagdalpur district, on Saturday night appealed to the ultras to free his father unharmed. "I appeal to the Naxals to release my father and brother", Umesh said.

Nand Kumar Patel, the PCC chief, and his son Dinesh were abducted by Maoists following an ambush on a convoy of Congress leaders in a dense forest in the district. PTI
