Christina Applegate says fighting breast cancer “sucks”

Washington, Nov 07: Hollywood actress Christina Applegate, who had undergone a double mastectomy in July, has said that fighting breast cancer "sucks".However, the ‘Samantha Who?’ actress is bravely fighting the disease, and does not want to be termed a victim.

"I still have quite a process until this is done," US magazine quoted Christina, as telling the new issue of TV Guide. "Yes, it`s hard. It sucks. But I`m not a victim,” she added. She will undergo reconstructive surgery near her 37th birthday, at the end of November. Applegate, who is a workaholic, revealed the cancer made her change her point of view in many ways. "I started looking for a beach house the day I found out I had this little disease, you just kind of go, `what are you waiting for to get the things that you want and the things you dream of?” she said. "I don`t own tomorrow or yesterday - today is all I`ve got, and if I don`t make today good, then I`m only gonna` be p--ssed off tomorrow!" she added. Applegate took time to grieve, as weeks before having both her breasts removed, two of her cats died and her ex-beau, Lee Grivas, was also found dead of an apparent drug overdose. ANI
