Amit Shah was in this lift for 30 minutes - find out why

Patna: One of India's most powerful men, BJP president Amit Shah, was literally helpless for about 30 minutes on Thursday night.

Shah got stuck in a lift of a government guest house in Patna last night.

The incident happened at about 11.15 pm. The guest house is located close to the Raj Bhavan in Patna.

Apart from the BJP strongman, his personal secretary and several other state BJP leaders were inside the lift when it got stuck between the ground floor and the first floor.

They were able to come out only after 30 minutes when help was called in.

As per reports, after the toll-free emergency number of the company operating the lift failed to elicit any response, CRPF personnel were called in who forced open the door.

Shah had arrived in Patna yesterday and is due to leave today.
