Pakistan once again violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday after it fired at the Indian posts in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

New Delhi: Pakistan once again violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday after it fired at the Indian posts in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

The Indian troops also reportedly retaliated after firing from the neighbouring country started at 6:40 pm.

"There was firing from across the border by Pakistani troops on Indian forward posts along the LoC in Sabjian sector of Poonch around 1840 hours," a defence spokesperson said, the PTI reported.

The ceasefire violation took place in Sawjian area of the district.
