Bangalore: Twelve persons have been arrested
for alleged involvement in gambling and 20 mobile phones and
vehicles worth Rs 8 lakh were recovered from them, police said
today.
They also recovered Rs 1.42 lakh in cash from the accused
following a raid at the projector room of a cinema hall on
Dec 19, police said.
The owner of the cinema hall and two others who allowed the
accused to gamble in the premises were absconding and efforts
are on to trace them, they added.
