New Delhi: Rumours about the world would come to an end have been doing the rounds for quite a while now.
While these rumours have been swirling for years and no predicted apocalyptic events have occurred so far, theories abound as to how this will happen likely.
There have been drastic changes in the weather as a result of global warming and climate change, but external forces like meteorites or space debris can destroy the Earth, wiping out the entire human civilization.

The year 2015 has seen an unnaturally high number of solar flares from the Sun. The year has also witnessed a rare astronomical phenomenon, a 'super blood moon' - a supermoon in combination with a lunar eclipse in September.
