`Meteor shower` sighted over UK

New Delhi: A display of bright objects streaking through the sky on Friday night has been reported from the northern parts of the United Kingdom, with people taking to Twitter to report the sightings, posting photos and video. Suggestions for explaining the phenomenon range from UFOs, space junk, fireworks to meteorite. The objects were orange in colour, with green tail behind them. People also reported hearing a loud noise after they passed. The British Met Office tweeted that they believed it was a meteorite.
