Montreal: Seven-time Formula One champion, Michael Schumacher’s luck continues to elude him. Since the start of the championship, the German has impressed with his pace and driving. However, this stands true for the Friday practices and the qualifications only for when the race day arrives-- his luck will turn its back on him.
At the Canadian GP, his race ended prematurely as he retired for the fifth time this season, once again owing to a mechanical failure. Out of the first seven races, Schumacher has retired in five. Four of them due to mechanical failures and only one due to a fault of his own when he crashed into Williams’ Bruno Senna at Spanish Grand Prix. The number seven has been an interesting company to him. He is a 7-time world champion, his car bears the number 7, seven times he has conquered the Canadian GP and this was the seventh race of the season. Smells fishy? Leaving the speculations behind, the fans of the legendary driver will be eager to see him on the podium or at least finish the race, that of late has become a luxury for the winner of 91 races.
