London: Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli believes his team isn’t scared of current Premier League champions Manchester United, and is confident that City would win the league this season.
City is currently two points clear of United in the table and are aiming to land the Premier League trophy for the first time since winning it last in 1961.
“We are a great group. We have quality. If we remain together until the end, United will finish behind us and they are not to be feared,” a daily quoted Balotelli, as saying.
Balotelli joined City from Inter Milan in the summer of 2010 and has scored 14 goals in 24 games this season.
The Italian striker said he is now a much better player and expects to keep improving.
“The intensity and the effort that I am giving this year, also in training, cannot be compared to that of last year. I have grown and certain things I`ve understood,” he said.
