Over 150 boat mechanics from Gujarat and Diu have applied for visa to Pakistan in order to undertake repair works of 57 seized Indian boats, anchored at a Karachi port.
Velhibhai Masani, convener of fishermen cell of Gujarat BJP, has demanded that Union Government should arrange for a visit of a delegation of boat owners from the state to Karachi, where as many as 57 fishing boats/trawlers are anchored.
Indian boats seized by Pakistani authorities and anchored at Karachi port need repairs to be made sea-worthy before being brought back, an official of Gujarat Fishermen Association said Tuesday.
Around 4,000 military vehicles and 1,732 containers were
waiting for clearance at the port.
The plant will be formally inducted in the national
