RIM has slashed the price of its `PlayBook` by more than
half to Rs 13,490 for the 16 GB version to cash in on the
festive season India.

RIM has bought a number of companies to fill particular needs in recent years.
The Canadian firm has launched the PlayBook in India at Rs 27,990 (16 GB), Rs 32,990 (32GB) and Rs 37,990 (64 GB).
The BlackBerry tablet PlayBook will hit markets in India and 15 other countries within the next month, Research In Motion (RIM) said Friday.
