Official guidelines require travellers to obtain written permission from the Department of Telecommunications before carrying or using satellite phones.

In Tulail Valley, part of the scenic Gurez region, continuous snowfall since morning has piled up 3 to 4 inches of fresh snow, with accumulation ongoing. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) suspended classes for students up to 8th grade amid the heavy downpour. A minor "channelised" avalanche struck a mountain gully in the valley but stayed confined, sparing the valley floor, Kishanganga River, and any lives or property.

From Ladakh to Kashmir, people condemned and staged protests following the suicide bombing at the Khadija Tul Kubra Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan. The demonstrators chanted anti-Pakistan slogans demanding justice and security for the Shia community living in the neighbouring country.
