Bihar: Efforts On To Rescue Boy Trapped Behind Bridge Pillar In Rohtas

He was found trapped at the Nasriganj-Daudnagar bridge, on Wednesday. Shatrughan Prasad, the boy's father had earlier informed local authorities that his son who was mentally unsound had gone missing two days ago. Later the child was discovered trapped by a woman.

Cyclone Nivar: NDRF deploys 1200 rescuers ahead of landfall

The NDRF has also pre-positioned 12 teams in Tamil Nadu, 3 in Puducherry and 7 in Andhra Pradesh at likely affected areas. Teams have been kept reserve at Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Thrissur (Kerala) and Mundli (Odisha) to meet additional requirements. The NDRF and Commandants of battalions located at Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are also in coordination with the respective state authorities.

Assam floods: NDRF rescues 85 villagers, 20 livestock in Barpeta district

More than 95 people have also lost their lives in the flood-related incidents in Assam to date. According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority, around 2,543 villages reportedly are underwater and over 1,22,573.16 hectares of crop areas have been damaged. Goalpara is the worst-hit district followed by Barpeta and Morigaon.
