From Paris, Jaishankar warns Europe is facing deep challenges and urges India and France to take a lead in stabilising the global order.

The India-Israel JWG reviewed the ongoing defence cooperation initiatives and agreed that both the nations have benefited from each other’s strengths. 

Jaishankar explained that the ongoing trade tensions largely stem from the inability of both sides to reach a common ground on several issues.

During the meeting, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar highlighted that the meeting provided India and Russia with an opportunity to discuss their political relations and bilateral ties. The Russian Foreign Minister highlighted the relationship between New Delhi and Moscow, stating that both countries fully justify the strategic and privileged partnership. 

China aims to strengthen ties, ensure stable supplies and manage disputes with India.

Although India has consistently denied any third-party mediation in the ceasefire, stating that no foreign leader requested it to halt military operations, Trump has, since 10 May, claimed credit for securing a "full and immediate" ceasefire.

Jaishankar pointed out that reports of violence against Hindus and other minorities, especially during the Durga Puja festival, had been a cause for concern. 

S. Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Antony and said that they had a wide-ranging discussion on regional and global issues.
