Amazon in trouble for selling doormat with images of Hindu Gods; #BoycottAmazon trends

New Delhi: Online retail giant Amazon landed itself in big trouble after it was discovered that the company was selling doormats with pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses on them.

The incident created a massive outrage among netizens who took to the social media calling for a ban on the US retail giant.

#BoycottAmazon became the trend of the day with various netizens calling for a ban on Amazon.

The situation got worse when it was discovered that doormats with pictures of Jesus, Holy Quran and Islamic-themed were also on sale on Amazon.

As per reports, Amazon was quick enough to take down these products following the uproar but not before it had triggered a social media fiasco.
